Wedding Featured

So mom did a wedding while I was home in California for Lauren and Emma's graduation. Well, today I found it on one of my favorite photographer's web sites! woot go mom!! everyone notice the scabiosa seed pod on the cake topper....that was my input!

This is all copied from the web site, if you click on the pictures they will get big (sorry for them being cut off)

colby and maria

colby and maria were married in san diego, ca. they actually had a PREception before the wedding instead of afterwards, so i was able to set up a super sweet first look in her gorgeous house! maria wore her grandmother’s wedding gown and looked absolutely STUNNING in it! she said they didn’t even have to do anything to it, it just fit her perfectly. can you say GORGEOUS?? they were married the next day in the lds san diego temple, and had a reception afterwards at a restaurant on the marine corps base. i was fascinated (and a little nervous when asked to provide ID at the entrance by a uniformed guard!) by the mini-city going on inside the base, and the restaurant was super cute next to a lake and had some fabulous spanish looking tiles and doors!

5 (actually 7) Years Time

This is Katherine's Aunt and Uncle. A couple months back they won a contest for a photo shoot and now the photographer has made a movie. It looks like a real music video, and it makes me smile. The best part, they have been married for 7 years!!!

Playing in the Rain

Summer Thunder Storms are so cool! It was miserably hot one moment. Then the wind kicked up. Then the rolling thunder...and then RAIN!!! LOTS and LOTS of it!
Big BUCKET raindrops!
It was wonderful. Katherine and I couldn't resist, so we frolicked.

One Problem: not wearing waterproof makeup

mini problem: wore substantially more mascara today than I have in a very long time

*disclaimer: these pictures may startle small children*

So mom has followed in my footsteps! She goes off to college and get's a blog. I'm still holding her hand as I train her how to use it all, but she will pass me up on skills for sure.
