Happy Sawcondrahga!!

Yay, another picture of all 4 of us! Here's the story: In high school Charli pulled a prank on her Newspaper class. She insisted that there was the mormon holiday Sawcondrahga (note the silent "H") on Dec. 13. She assure the class that mormons are all about giving, so we give gifts to orphins, serve food at homeless shelters, and eat traditional mormon food. Every year since the prank, Charli celebrates in style. This year on Sawcondrahga Eve she gave us all matching PJs and socks. We wore them out to the store and every night for a week. The next day we had a potluck with our friends. We had jello salad, funeral potatoes, half fancy dip, cinnamon rolls, and sparkling cider. It was quite an ordeal.

Temple Square

Can you believe this is the only picture all year with all of us?!?!?! Good thing its a pretty decent photo (not like all of those ugly decent photos). This is us before watching the Joseph Smith Movie.

Remember the summer regret....

If you remember, over the summer I cried because Pres. Holland came to our ward and I missed out. Tonight was my redemption. I was at work at Brick Oven and heard some words swirling around...I put myself in a tizzy and low and behold....Jeffrey R. Holland was at the salad bar 15 feet away from me. I had hoped he would come for pasta bar (where I was) but he didn't. The buzz disapeared and I assumed he left the building. I stayed kinda late to finish pre-closes, clocked out, and left, turned the corner...There was this cute couple walking towards me, I looked up and there was Pres. and his wife holding hands. I looked at him...He smiled and said "Hi, how are'ya?" "Hi Pres. Holland." I know that isn't that spectacular, but I was so giddy. I could barely keep my feet from skipping or running home. I gave up the fight half way home and just ran. When I got to the door, no one was home, not a single roommate! I feel better about missing him in August.

Christmas Flowers

This picture doesn't do my art work justice. It is really quite pretty in person.

BYU whoops U of U!!

I couldn't stay the whole game, I had to go to work, so I thought I had better go all out! what do you think?

We got a little silly...it was kind of an exciting, jump-like-crazy game.

This is one of my favorite photos of the night. I think it is the best photo of Katherine I have ever taken. Then there is us and Becca, frozen to the bone but still having a blast!!!!

mean prank

Iced plates and cups. Warm water to melt ice. Warm water freezes on lower balconies. Big slippery mess. Whole bag of salt junk. Grumpy girls. Not nice things said to pranksters.

weeds...oh drat. they're more flowers

Bridal bouquet, wreath, flowers from Katherine's parents.

This is a really lousy photo. I couldn't get any that looked good. I promise in person it was wedding worthy; the colors are more intense than they appear and it is so very happy.

This is an upclose of the wreath I made for my silk flower project. It looks SO good; I impressed myself on this one.

Bridal bouquet (look at me, I can actually spell the word! ha) with cheep flowers. I was done in 15 min while the rest of the class took an hour. Plus mine was WAY better than any of theirs.

This is not what I intended to do, but I like the way it came out. Again, much more creative than the other kids. (do I sound conceited enough?)

I guess I was inspired by the bracelet I was wearing that day, because everything coordinates

Wisdom Teeth

I no longer have wisdom teeth, so they should send me home from BYU now...I will be of no use from now on. The swelling is pretty much non existent. The worst part is wanting to smile but having my stitches pull. One of the strings hangs down in my mouth, which is bothersome, but not the end of the world. My roomies were kind enough to go out for frosties. They ran into one of our guy friends...the one in Air Force ROTC....aka the HOT one...and brought him over. I'm sitting on the couch in my grubbies and looking like death warmed over....and he walks in all smiling and good looking. Its a good thing he's easy to talk to and non judgemental, because other wise I would have been really freaking out. He pointed out that baby food would be the perfect solution to my plight. I think I will follow his advice and buy a bunch....I did always like snacking on Della's baby food. Everyone keeps saying I'm a trooper. The dentist was really suprised that I didn't move or flintch, or freak out in any [visible] way. Then Jonathan was really surprised I was up and around, and looking content...besides being off balance.

See, no exciting swelling.

Just a little buldge when I smile. This isn't even really that true because I still a mouthful of cotton. Without the gauze I look practically normal.

Halloween

Pumpkins, big hair, and lots of giggles...

Ashlee's sunflower pumpkin, and mine with my initials and new personal logo (like my mom's tulip).

The 1940s costume, based off of Grandpa's old Marine hat. I had quite a few people tell me they loved the costume!

Poor Ashlee before her hair was done...we weren't sure it was going to turn out.....

But TADA!!!! its perfect! and it stayed HUGE all night!

Charli was and EFY counselor, and was extremely peppy all night.

And this is at the END of the dance, so I think we held up pretty well.

Alas, more flowers

Here is my lopsided, too centrally symmetrical , roundy-moundy cube design. I love my colors and flowers, I hate my placement. oh well.

more flowers...

I don't know why this is upside-down, but just do a hand stand to look at it.

Floral Design

In floral design we were doing bud vases in a basket of goodies. I was lucky to have just received some from Grandma, and had supplies around the apartment, so I came up with this! The teacher loved it so much she showed the entire class. I quite like it myself. I like it so much I didn't take it apart for a week, just so I could stare at it.

Parent's Weekend

Mom came to see me!!! Happy Day!!!! We were as silly as you could get. She spent Thursday through Sunday with me, and it was my favorite thing all semester. We went to Brick Oven and stuffed ourselves silly. We went shopping and driving around Provo. We went to classes together and looked at things on campus. She tried to be Mrs. Fix-It around my apartment. I loved every minute of it.

We had a tour at the top of the SWKT...who ever gets to do that?!?!?! And she made fun of me for not remembering Utah lake was only a small distance away.

We bought matching bracelets from the store at the Museum of Art (and some for sisters).

We hiked to the Y early Saturday morning, and then had breakfast at the Cannon.

Then we went to the tailgating party at the Hinckley Center. We had our faces painted and won all kinds of silly prizes.

And we went to the football game against Colorado. and...WE WON!

We went to church together on Sunday. She went to Salt Lake for Sunday Dinner while I had to stay back and write a nasty paper. It was a wonderful weekend! I miss her very much!

Visitors Welcome...most of the time

We love having visitors! We feel so important and special when someone takes the time to stop by. BUT only if it is a reasonable hour! We had one night were 3 guys came over after 9pm. We were in our PJs and there was no make up to be found. They just kept coming. So I hung a sign, forewarning them of the consequences.

Mustaches!!

While in Camarillo I bought these SUPER SILLY sticky mustaches. We were having a lame night, and decided we needed a photo shoot....um....I think the ice cream may have impaired our judgment.

The Apartment

Well, I'm moved in! Provo is fantastic, except for being extremely hot. Don't really know ANYONE in our complex, but we'll work on it. Oh, and I got a job at BRICK OVEN! It may not be my favorite place on the earth, but it is a pretty well paying job, and its extremely close (closer than campus).

Oh and I can't stand my outfit. Everyone says I look cute, but I think I look silly.
