Temples Part 1

There are very few of you who actually read this blog, and those of you who do, probably share my faith. I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I spent 18 months of my life as a missionary, teaching others about God's plan for His children and what really matters in life to bring about true happiness.

One of the great blessings God has given man, are Temples. They are sacred sites of worship where mankind can learn how to draw closer to God. Temples are where marriages are performed, where the relationship lasts forever, and not just until death parts husband and wife. Temples give opportunities to bring families together forever.

There is a newly built temple in Gilbert, AZ. It is a beautiful sight to see. A local news station decided to create an entire evening story on the purpose of temples and what the inside of the Gilbert Temple looks like. I would like to share these videos with you.

The first one is an introduction to the reason Latter-day Saints build temples. It also gives a look at what the actual Gilbert Temple rooms look like.

Quotes

I have a second job this semester....I am the TA for one of my Professors. My main job is to grade the papers that come in. I read one that changed my entire day. There was a quote that has influenced me deeply .

"The world is a monumental beast, frightening and discouraging.
But, in small doses, it is the most beautiful thing you will ever discover."

Monogomy

There is a blogger that you may have come across in recent months....he is known for his family based opinions and the fact that he defends that which is most sacred: Matt Walsh. He has whit and charisma. I like to read his articles periodically. Normally I wouldn't share them, but this one I just couldn't pass up.

SOOOOO true

"Schedule yourself a gloomy day- it's healthy for you and won't last long." -- Boyd K. Packer
