Manti Miracle Pageant

We went to Manti this week with some friends in the ward. Katherine's family was in it, and they were very sweet to save us seats up close and in the middle. We had a wonderful time. I stayed sober the whole way through, but as soon as the children were buried on the plains, and the main characters died, I was a goner. Katherine held me while I whimpered and cried like a boob. Loved IT!

Happy Birthday

So, if you didn't know....I'm 20!!!!!

We had Ashlee's race in the morning, but that night we went to a Stake Dance. (They planned it just for me, I know it). Maddy was in town for the weekend, and so we took her in as out new roommate. It was a great night...lots of dancing with cute boys. Then on Sunday, Ashlee revealed the final part of my birthday gift. She got me a CAKE PLATE!!!! (I've wanted one for a really long time). She made a delicious Red Velvet cake, and decorated with my flower. Oohh, she knows me so well! It was absolutely heavenly.

So, Ashlee is a stud. She and Andrew ran the Utah Valley Half Marathon on Saturday. They did it in 2 hours and 1 min. (they would have been faster, but they both had to stop to go potty). That's a whole half hour faster than they hoped to get! Woot! go them!

I can make pretty things. Ashlee and I saw some flowers like this at a boutique.
Well I can do that.

Milk Box

Ok, this may only make sense to 3 of you...literally. (Those who watched me grow up and were there for the Christmas that started this fascination)

Yesterday we went to costco. Katherine went to grab a box of milk. I asked in my strange fashion, "ohh, are there any on June 12?" (aka: happy birthday me!)

"They are all June 12"

What? no way. "WAHOO!!!!!! that's so cool!"

"what, you want all the milk to expire on your birthday? big whoop."

"no, its a melinda thing"

Bathroom Remodel: DAY 3

Before lunch they put down the counter top and filled in the grout. Too dark for my tastes, but its WAY better than the linoleum before.


Then they put in the toilet. Woot. except we can't use for a day while part of the seal dries.


TADA!! The (almost) finished project. They need to finish the moldings and put grout or some sealant around the edges of the counter top. They will come back in a couple days (after the long weekend) but until then we are free to us it as we please.


These are our beautiful new faucets! Much better than the nasty ones from before. We even have stoppers that actually plug the sink! Luck us.
